We are busy office seeking a skilled and compassionate Clinical Coordinator to join our team, a leading reconstructive plastic surgery practice in Falls Church/Merrifield area. The Clinical Coordinator is the first face of the practice and will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic, providing exceptional care and support to our patients throughout their journey. This position requires a dynamic individual with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to follow through with appointed tasks and a passion for patient care, all within a fast paced environment.
Requirements for the position:
- Ability to work a minimum of 40 hours per week
- Integrity and honesty, with the ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to help and contribute to wherever help is needed to improve overall office success with a "team player" outlook
- Basic knowledge of insurance, health records systems and HIPAA regulations
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals.
- 1-2 years of medical office experience
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate patient appointments, surgeries, and follow-up care.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for patients, addressing inquiries and providing support throughout their treatment process.
- Collaborate closely with the surgical team, including surgeons, nurses, and medical assistants, to ensure seamless patient care.
- Manage patient documentation and medical records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Verification of insurance benefits (workers comp. knowledge a plus!)
- Facilitate communication between patients and other healthcare providers as needed.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling, billing, and incoming/outgoing faxes
- Participate in staff meetings, take meeting minutes, and confirm details of follow up appointments

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
