Seeking a CPRS to be a Male Residential Housing Liaison to reside on or off premises and oversee the recovery process for adult males. This candidate(s) will be responsible for the overall management of one or more residential recovery homes, in addition to providing peer support services throughout a client's 6-month treatment progression.
Help early-stage clients maintain sobriety and get basic needs met.
Help late-stage clients achieve employment and stable long term housing.
Work closely with substance abuse clinical team, mental health providers, nursing and management to shepherd each client through the recovery process.
Salary: Hourly negotiable.

Essential Functions
● Maintains a consistent, visible presence in the recovery residence, including being present in the residence at night and early morning. Effectively manages the day to day operations of the house. Oversees daily operations of the recovery residence and maintains organized records.
● Collaborates with a cohesive/knowledgeable team while receiving regular non-clinical supervision. Assists in the coordination of residents executing goals within the therapeutic plan by supporting and coaching residents on skills needed to live in recovery. Communicates in a culturally sensitive manner to all residents and staff.
● Effectively address and document emergencies/crisis situations as they arise. Observes and reports any unusual behaviors or possible areas of disagreements and/or concerns between residents as well as any unwanted activities that may pose a safety or nuisance concern for the residents or neighbors.
● Monitors residents' rooms for cleanliness. Assigns chores and ensures that residents are properly maintaining communal areas (Living quarters, kitchen space, etc.)
● Obtains and tracks residents weekly appointment schedule
● Escorts and transports residents to and from appointments and to and from 3.3/ PHP/IOP/OP/Mental Health sessions
● Ensures that residents are following any and all house rules and policies
● Leads weekly “House Meetings,” and conducts inspections.
● Prompt residents to take medication as prescribed.
● Monitors proper use and functioning of all household appliances and hardware.
● Responsible for managing and coordinating daily housekeeping tasks and orientation for new residents.
● Is the authorized key holder for entry doors. Aides in monitoring the property, assisting in protection against damages and/or theft.
● Performs peer recovery and peer support with each client.
Minimum Qualifications
● Certified Peer Recovery Specialist licensed by MABPCB
● Driver's License
● Working knowledge of sober-living home management practices, models, patterns, and techniques
● High School Diploma, GED, or willingness to obtain GED
● Must be able to read and write
● Must be able to live in a shared living situation with other males. Requires maintaining a visible presence in the Recovery Residence, including being present in the residence at night.
● Ability to maintain organized records, communicate effectively both orally and in writing, and be able to interact appropriately and professionally with men who are working on their recovery.
● Must have minor house maintenance/repair skills
● Basic computer and keyboarding skills (i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Suite)
● Knowledge of community resources or be willing to develop relationships with community partners within the first 30 days.
● Must be drug-free (minimum of 2 years for Sober-living Residence Housing Manager position)
Experience
At least 1 years experience working with individuals with substance abuse disorder. Knowledge or willingness to learn about the established diagnostic criteria for substance use disorders, treatment modalities and placement criteria within the continuum of care; knowledge of models and theories of addiction and other problems related to substance use. Knowledge of sober-living home management practices, models, patterns and techniques. Knowledge of a variety of helping strategies for reducing the negative effects of substance use and dependence. Adequate skill in tailoring helping strategies and treatment modalities to the resident’s stage of dependance, change or recovery as it relates to life skills/responsibility/ healthy living and accountability in a residential setting. Skill in effectively taking direction and instruction to assist in the overall success of performing leadership roles in a sober-living residence and conducting various inspections. Working knowledge in providing reasonable housing standards appropriate to the personal and cultural identity of the client. Skill in establishing and maintaining a therapeutic relationship with residents. Ability to make sound judgment calls and decisions, ability to effectively diffuse a situation. Ability to document information accurately. Ability to apply crisis management skills to residents in crisis. Strong working knowledge of knowing when to escalate a matter to a manager. Ability to apply setting specific policies and procedures in a residential setting. Ability to identify the support systems and community resources available to clients.
