Job Title: Director of Human Resources

Summary
The Director of Human Resources (DHR) serves as a thought-leader partnering with the CHRO to lead the HR team serving the organization. The DHR seeks feedback and collaborates with hiring managers improving recruitment and sourcing strategies. This role is responsible for solution-driven approaches driving implementation of effective programs for retention, promotion, and succession planning.
The DHR role supports HR operations, HR compliance, and all related organizational goals.
Collaboratively, the DHR serves in supporting payroll administration, benefits administration, compliance regulations, training and development, reporting, and vendor management.
This role serves as a trusted partner and works collaboratively in conducting internal investigations maintaining professionalism and the integrity of confidentiality. This Job Description focuses on main requirements as the Director of Human Resources. Expectations include other duties as assigned that may not be outlined but are relevant.
Strategic Leadership:

Provide support in all HR-related functions while coaching and mentoring other leaders and colleagues.

Provide ongoing leadership and direction to HR team to foster sound business practices and promote a culture of teamwork, innovation, and empowerment.

Collaborate with ELT+ to ensure organizational collaboration, promote business goals and ensure alignment in organizational business practices

Employee Relations & Investigations

Work collaboratively with Compliance and Operations to conduct internal investigations with employees, maintaining confidentiality and impartiality, utilizing established protocol with the ability to pivot and implement updated guidelines appropriately

Make recommendations for mitigating organizational risk to improve practices

Seek mediation support when necessary

Expectations in employee relations and investigations include other duties as assigned
Reporting Strategies:

Generate weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports HR-related for insight and analysis

Responsible for EEO-1 Annual Reporting and data collection process

Provide and improve reporting requirements related to HR requirements

Additional Responsibilities:

Serve as Consulted Business Partner with Epworth leaders and colleagues to develop effective sourcing and recruitment strategies, building a pipeline of qualified candidates

Develop effective, impactful relationships within the organization and hiring community

Collaborate with HR Business Partner to manage full recruitment life cycle (post, source, pre-screen, schedule, background, references, offer, onboarding, etc.)

Work collaboratively with HR business partner to minimize overall time-to-start (realistically define start date for candidates and communicate w/hiring managers)

Recruit full-time, part-time, temporary, contractual and intern personnel

Collaborate with HR Business Partner to develop appropriate marketing strategies and service-level agreements ensuring cost-efficient recruitment strategies

Work collaboratively to develop, initiate and maintain effective programs for workforce retention, promotion and succession planning

Provide professional expertise, input, and support in the design, development and implementation of the talent management process to achieve agency goals and promote ongoing professional development

Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, I/O Psychology, or related field – (Master’s degree preferred)

10-15 years’ experience Human Resources with the ability to recruit in multiple disciplines – non-exempt, exempt, and various leadership positions

Experience designing, developing and supporting organization-wide talent management programs (i.e., performance management strategies, talent acquisition selection, talent development, coaching, succession planning, data analytics, and relationship management, etc.)

Experience in all HR-related sourcing strategies, which include social media platforms
-
Experience in working with applicant tracking systems and affirmative action plan requirements

Preferred professional certification: (SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP/ PHR/SPHR/PRC, etc.)
