We are seeking a second Teacher to join our team in our younger Preschool classroom!
Who We Are:
We are a licensed facility that provides care for children birth through 5 years. We have been in business for 30 years! We started as a single classroom with a vision to provide low-cost quality educational experiences to families in central Columbia. Our program has grown through the years but we remain dedicated to our mission.
Responsibilities:
- Instruct preschool-aged children in activities designed to promote intellectual, developmental, and social growth
- Create a fun and safe learning environment
- Develop consistent schedules and routines to ensure adequate physical activity, rest, and playtime
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with children and families.
- Communicate with parents on students' growth and progress through observations, checklists, and conferences.
- Maintain the health and safety of all students
- Build and maintain positive relationships with the entire Turn the Page family.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in childcare, teaching, or other related fields.
- The ability and working knowledge to open, lead, and maintain a classroom independently.
- Understanding and ability to work with children of different backgrounds, abilities, and behaviors. We are paired with local agencies that provide support for children who have been impacted by difficult life changing situations. This leads to challenges both in the classroom and out of that requires additional understanding and support.
- Passionate about working with younger preschool age children between the ages of 2 and 4 years old.
- Ability to build rapport with coworkers, staff, children, and their families
- Positive and patient demeanor
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to work as a team member in a fast-paced and challenging environment.

BEFORE hire we will require:

AFTER Hire, we require the following:
- physical
- TB test and TB risk assessment filled out
- Food Handler's Card
- First Aid & CPR
- 18 hours of CE clock-hours per year

Pay: $16.50 - $18.50+ per hour : dependent on the experience and education.
