Now Hiring: Restaurant General Manager
Rafael, an upcoming Mediterranean concept by renowned Chef Rafael Hasid, is seeking an experienced and passionate Restaurant General Manager to lead our team and ensure exceptional dining experiences for our valued guests. Located on Manhattan's Upper East Side, Rafael promises a unique and elevated dining experience with a focus on exceptional food and service.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of restaurant operations, including front-of-house, back-of-house, and administrative tasks.
- Manage and lead a diverse team of professionals, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management.
- Ensure high standards of food quality, presentation, and service are consistently met.
- Collaborate with Chef Rafael Hasid and his team to develop and update menus based on market trends and customer preferences.
- Maintain inventory levels, control costs, and optimize profitability through effective budgeting and financial management.
- Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, open communication, and professional growth.
- Implement and enforce health and safety regulations, including food handling and sanitation practices.
- Uphold brand standards and ensure the restaurant provides a welcoming and memorable experience for guests.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a General Manager in a high-end or upscale restaurant environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of food and beverage operations, including wine and cocktail programs.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Solid understanding of financial management, P&L statements, and cost control.
- Knowledge of local health and safety regulations.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred.
Salary Range: $90,000 - $105,000
