We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Certified Medical Assistant in any of our main locations as needed, Paramus, Glen Rock, Franklin Lakes or Westwood, NJ.
Summary:
Provides assistance to all Physicians and patients with needed responsibilities on a daily basis.
Duties and Responsibilities
1) Oversee and ensure efficient turnover of exam rooms.
2) Maintain exam rooms in a neat and clean manner at all times.
3) Escort patients from waiting room to examination rooms.
4) Comply with patient needs at all times.
5) All medical information that the patient brings to the visit, must be immediately scanned into the patient's chart.
6) Remove dressings, casts, etc. and provide patients with gowns as necessary.
7) Take patients vitals and ensure patient charts contain all pertinent information and are placed in designated areas for Physician's use.
8) Alert Physician of patients allergies prior to beginning exams.
9) Assist Physicians with injections, aspirations, casting and/or other procedures as necessary.
10) Monitor supply levels and replace as needed.
11) Instruct patients regarding use of braces, crutches, medication usage, post-op care or other information needed.
12) Photocopy information given to patients, and place in appropriate charts.
13) Apply knowledge of sterile techniques, OSHA and HIPAA regulations.
14) Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
HS diploma or equivalent.
CMA required
Must be experienced and certified in Medical Assisting.
