Bilingual Human Resource/Payroll Coordinator Job Description
We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented Bilingual Human Resource/Payroll Coordinator (Spanish) to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing payroll transactions, ensuring compliance with HR policies and regulations, and providing exceptional support to our employees.
Responsibilities:
1. Process attendance records, timesheets, and relevant documents such as W-2s
and tax forms.
2. Verify payroll information for accuracy and maintain organized paperwork.
3. Collaborate with the HR department on payroll changes, including terminations and
new hires.
4. Oversee electronic payments and distribute payroll checks.
5. Update data to reflect salary or wage adjustments.
6. Handle financial compensations and deductions, including annual bonuses,
severance pay, taxes, and worker’s compensation.
7. Manage benefit expenses, insurance fees, and paid leave.
8. Generate reports for upper management as needed.
9. Address employee inquiries and complaints related to salaries and payments.
10. Work with relevant authorities during audits or requests.
Requirements and Skills:
1. Proven experience as a payroll coordinator or in a similar role.
2. Familiarity with payroll processes and systems such as Paychex or Heartland
3. Good knowledge of legislation relevant to accounting and payroll.
4. Comfortable using Excel for functions and data management.
5. Strong communication skills in English and Spanish, both verbal and written.
6. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
7. Diploma, BSc, or BA in accounting, finance, or a relevant field.
8. SHRM Certification (SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP) preferred.
9. Proficiency with MS Office and computer-based systems.
10. Ability to provide exceptional customer service and maintain confidentiality.
11. Bilingual proficiency: English/Spanish
