Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays, CT scans, and PET scans, as directed by physicians
- Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process and positioning them correctly
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment, ensuring it is functioning properly and producing high-quality images
- Follow safety protocols to minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff
- Review images for quality and accuracy, making adjustments as necessary
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide accurate and timely diagnostic evaluations
- Maintain patient records and documentation of procedures performed
Qualifications:
- Valid certification as an X-ray Technician
- Proficiency in performing aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment
- Experience working in an emergency room (ER) setting is preferred
- Knowledge of sonography techniques and equipment is a plus
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
- Ability to operate and troubleshoot diagnostic imaging equipment effectively
- Excellent communication skills to interact with patients and healthcare professionals
