Responsibilities
Now Hiring a Robotics Technician to join our automation team. Working 12 hour shift required. 7pm-7am
ROLE OVERVIEW: Responsible to operate, test and maintain unmanned, automated, servo-mechanical, or electromechanical equipment in specific shift. May assist automation engineers in various projects.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Main functions of the job are to use electrical, electronic and programming skills to configure, assemble, install, troubleshoot and repair robotic system and automation.
- Create, modify, and troubleshoot PLC and robotic programs including Vision systems.

Evaluate molding operations and improve cycle time and efficiency where possible.
- Support, troubleshoot and repair of equipment and machinery to support the operations of the facility and the production process.
- Perform process troubleshooting and perform machine adjustment in order to assist the production department with processing of quality parts.
- Work well with a team and be prepared to work cross functionally with multiple skilled trade personnel, production personnel and management.
- Performs special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:

Advanced understanding of industrial automated equipment, processes, controls, etc.

Experience with robotics, electronics, pneumatics, electrical.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and electrical schematics.
- Ability to communicate clearly with team members and vendors in diagnosing maintenance and safety related problems.
- Previous experience in the troubleshooting and repair of plastics processing equipment.
- Must be able to lead in a team-based environment where problem-solving and employee empowerment are keys to success.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Interest in continuing education through training courses and other post-secondary education.

Mechatronic Diploma, certificate or degree a plus.

Fanuc robot and Allen Bradley experience is a plus.
- 3 years’ experience in injection molding preferred.
