Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Accounting, Payroll and Data Specialist to join our team at Stearns-Montgomery & Proctor Family Law Firm – serving the Atlanta and Savannah metro areas with its main office in Marietta, GA. The ideal candidate will be highly organized and have a solid background in finance and accounting. The Specialist will lead the overall team in the development, implementation, and management of the firm’s financial and accounting operations, as well as providing guidance and insight to the attorneys and other members of the firm.

Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise the daily accounting functions to ensure financial information accuracy and integrity.
- Handle payroll processing efficiently.
- Analyze financial performance, prepare regular reports for CFO and executive review, and make informed recommendations.
- Manage and reconcile bank accounts, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll activities.
- Complete government filing and reports accurately.
- Establish and uphold internal controls in accounting operations to comply with relevant laws and regulations.
Qualifications:
· This position requires a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
· An associate or bachelor’s degree in computer science, business, data analytics, or a related field is helpful but not required.
· 3+ years of experience in data entry/analytics or marketing is preferred.
· Analytics certifications are preferred, but not required.
· Working knowledge and expertise with SQL, Microsoft Excel, VBA, Power BI, Office 365, and Google Ads.
· Applicants who can import web data into a SQL database will be heavily considered.
· Strong knowledge and experience using Microsoft Excel, including but not limited to: Pivot Tables, Excel formulas (Vlookup/Hlookup), Data Analysis tools
· Ability to use and create documents similar to Microsoft Mail Merge
· Willingness to solve complicated problems and see projects through to completion.
· Analytical skills to study problems and identify solutions.
· Team-oriented attitude to help other colleagues with data-related technical problems.
· Ability to manage time and effectively balance numerous projects.
· Excellent verbal and written communication abilities are required.
· Strong organizational skills

This position reports directly to the firm's owner/founder and will interact closely with the managing partner. Job Summary:
- Responsible for preparing, reviewing, and analyzing financial reports to summarize and forecast the company’s financial status.
- Produce and manage balance sheets and analyze future earnings and expenses.
- Management of accounting, auditing, and budgeting within the organization.
- Perform regular, detailed audits to ensure accuracy in financial documents and expenditures.
- Oversee ledger reconciliation and manage accounts payable/receivables and client settlement disbursements.
- Reconcile accounting inaccuracies or imbalances.
- Monitor bookkeeping activities regularly.
- Establish sound accounting policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with and prepare reports according to applicable government regulations.
- Use accounting software to maintain records and prepare reports.
- Manage Law Firm Insurance coverage and 401K benefits.
- Stay abreast of industry developments and changes in regulations.
