We are recruiting for a Pre-Doctoral Psychologist Interns to join our team!
The Psychology Intern provides therapeutic services and neuropsychological assessment as a psychologist candidate for licensure under the supervision of delegated licensed psychologists. Services will include proficient, culturally responsive diagnostic assessment, test battery selection and administration, scoring and interpretation of assessments, report writing, and evidence-based psychotherapy for psychiatric disorders and psychosocial factors in patients. Psychologist Interns will have an active role in various professional psychology activities that may include program development and research, clinical and didactic teaching, and clinical supervision (under supervision by a licensed psychologist).
Essential Functions:
- Provide doctoral level psychotherapeutic and psychoeducational services to patients. (20%)
- Provide didactic and/or clinical teaching to psychology interns, practicum students, and other trainees as appropriate. (5%)
- Complete appropriate documentation of therapeutic activities in a timely manner. (5%)
- Participate effectively in supervision with delegated supervisors. (5%)
- Participate in meetings, didactic seminars, and other educational or departmental events as appropriate. (5%)
- Participates in program evaluation, quality improvement, and/or research projects, as appropriate. (5%)
- Provides neuropsychological assessment services to children, adolescents, and adults (i.e., battery selection, administration, scoring, and interpretation of assessments; report writing, results). (55%)
Education:
- Enrolled in a Doctorate Degree – Psychology Program from an APA-accredited institution or APA-equivalent institution Required and
- Completion of a Practicum of at least 750 hours.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Pre-Doctoral Intern has strong doctoral level knowledge, skills, and abilities in clinical service with populations relevant to postdoctoral program setting.
- Novice skills to participate effectively with the interdisciplinary teams and to provide teaching to other team members, students, and trainees.
- Pre-Doctoral Intern has critical thinking skills as well as advanced written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality of patients' records.
- Ability to collaborate with an interdisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment.
Pay
$46,800.00 for a one-year, 2000-hour contract.
