Position Summary
The Model Maintenance Technician will complete a variety of construction tasks including but not exclusive to managing and completing service requests.
Essential Functions
- Responsible for managing and completing model maintenance, office, and LOOK service requests
- Perform tasks on the model maintenance checklist, schedule trades, and ensure that the trades are performing quality work
- Directly inspect each trades work and obtain management approval of their invoicing according to contract payment terms and company policies set forth therein
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, resolve problems, meet deadlines and performance objectives, and thrive in a fast-paced work environment
- Manage subcontractors in the home and ensure they are working in a safe manner
- Assist VP of Operations with budget estimates, when required
- Carries out employee responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws
- Within 60 days of employment commencement, attend the necessary online training course to secure certification in the OSHA 10 Construction Safety Course. Management will schedule with approved training agency and will pay for the course.
Skills and Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of construction experience required
- Strong experience with Microsoft Excel and Outlook
- Experience working in a Warranty department is a plus
- Carpentry, drywall, and paint skills or knowledge is a plus
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with homeowners and construction trade workers
- Ability to lift or move objects up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift or move objects up to 75 pounds
- Excellent customer service skills
- Attention to detail
- Strong time management skills
- Must be able to pass criminal background check
- Must have a valid driver's license and own transportation
