Summary of Responsibilities
The Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Nurse Scheduler/ Nurse Educator will be responsible for accurately preparing nursing and CNA schedules in a timely manner. This includes coordinating individual staff schedule requests, tracking time off requests and accommodating coverage, monitoring staff overtime hours, and monitoring PRN staff hours. As the Nurse Educator it is very important to stays current with all relevant medical guidelines, insurance guidelines, and state and federal laws and regulations for providing the most up to date in-service training. In addition the Nurse Educator will ensure new hires complete skill competencies and continue to provide mentorship to all staff. The Nurse will communicate directly with the Director of Nursing, Facility Administrator, and Nursing Supervisors to report daily staffing attendance to ensure proper unite coverage. Qualifications
- Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of Nebraska or other compact state.
- One (1) years of Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) nursing experience in transitional care unit/ skilled nursing facility or clinical experience preferred.
- Obtain and maintain current BLS CPR.
- Licensed driver with an automobile that is in good working order to get to and from work in various weather conditions to ensure reliability.
