Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Lead Line Cook to join our culinary team and play a key role in crafting our menu offerings. As the Lead Line Cook, you will be responsible for overseeing food preparation, ensuring the highest standards of quality and taste, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. You will collaborate closely with the head chef and kitchen staff to develop and execute creative, family-friendly dishes that showcase the best of local, seasonal ingredients.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the line cooking team in preparing and executing menu items with precision and efficiency.
- Ensure that all dishes are prepared according to recipe specifications and presentation standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Collaborate with the head chef to develop seasonal menus that appeal to families and highlight local ingredients.
- Train and mentor kitchen staff in proper cooking techniques and procedures.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and standards of conduct.
Qualifications:
- Authorized to work in the United States
- San Diego Food Handler Certified
- Strong knowledge of cooking techniques and food safety standards.
- Must be available to work weekend mornings and afternoons.
