The Technical Service Engineer is responsible for working proficiently in all aspects and functions of NWF product applications including but not limited to process assessing, troubleshooting and ingredient functionality.

Essential Functions:
-
Have met the requirements of an Associate Technical Service Engineer.
- Maintain full independent project responsibility.
- Assure customer satisfaction through professional communications with the Customers, Equipment Manufacturers and NWF employees including Sales, Production, Customer Service, Maintenance, QA, and alternate Plant Facilities.
- Achieve understanding of our customer’s products and processing.
- Become an expert of NWF’s products for customer’s application.
- Demonstrate appropriate competency in equipment considerations and selection.
- Impact processing cost through assessing customer’s processing efficiencies and waste reduction.
- Assess processing issues and implement solutions.
- Conduct customer training presentations.
- Treat all processing information as confidential that can only be accessed through the R&D project system.
- Perform other duties or special projects as needed.
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Food Science; Chemical, Biological, or Food Process Engineering, in addition to 2 years related experience and/or training in Product Development, Food Processing Engineering, or related field.
- Strong communication, interpersonal skills, and general knowledge of Adobe applications, MS Office, AS400, and Lotus Notes.
Work Environment:

General office setting.
- work travel is required.
- Period exposure to (1) loud environment, (2) airborne particles with stronger odors associated with spicy food ingredients, (3) cold, hot, wet, and humid conditions, (4) walking and standing on concrete, (5) climbing steps, ladders, (6) standing on elevated surfaces.
