Park & Elm is the latest fine-dining restaurant to open in downtown Glens Falls. The menu features a modern take on classic dishes made with fresh, seasonal ingredients, curated by executive chef, Matthew J. Delos. The dining room seats 85 guests, plus a 60 seat seasonal patio.
Line Cook Position
Park & Elm is looking for a talented and passionate cook to join our team! Line cook duties consist of assisting the executive chef and sous chef with their daily tasks.
Line Cook Job Responsibilities:
- Sets up and stocks food items and other necessary supplies.
- Prepares food items by cutting, chopping, mixing, and preparing sauces.
- Cooks food items by grilling, frying, sautéing, and other cooking methods to specified recipes and standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and complies with food sanitation requirements by properly handling food and ensuring correct storage.
- Cleans and sanitizes cooking surfaces at the end of the shift.
- Able to adhere to fluid weekly schedules with sufficient transportation
- Ideal candidate has 3 years fine dining experience, but willing to train the right candidate
- Venue includes line cooking for our restaurant and catering for on site events in our theater
Requirements
- Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line cook in a fine dining setting
- Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
- Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
- Familiar with industry’s best practices
- Culinary school diploma is an asset
