Duties:
- Greet and check-in patients, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience
- Answer phone calls and schedule appointments, providing accurate information to patients
- Verify patient insurance information and collect necessary co-pays or payments
- Maintain patient records and update electronic medical records (EMR) system
- Assist with medical scheduling and coordinate referrals to specialists or other healthcare providers
- Provide administrative support to medical staff, including faxing, scanning, and filing documents
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
- Handle patient inquiries and resolve any issues or concerns in a professional manner
- Collaborate with the front desk team to ensure smooth operations of the clinic
Skills:
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on patient satisfaction
- Strong administrative skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with medical scheduling system
- Knowledge of Dental medical terminology and procedures is a plus
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient privacy
