The position will have 3 direct reports and manage, lead, coach a team of 9.
Manage all aspects for Business Planning, this includes: Demand Planning, Market Intelligence, and the Sales and Operations planning for US PLT-RE . Coordinate, organize and assist in creating the five- year- strategy plan, RICP (rolling investment capacity planning) and annual budget. Create and maintain the overall business planning process for the CTA Sales organization. Provide detailed demand planning. This function will maintain detailed analysis of sales and production capacity. Detailed roadmaps will be provided to Sales, Supply Chain and Production to ensure a streamline, up-to-date information allowing CTA management to accurately plan future business needs and results. This position will be the subject matter expert and business liaison between Sales, Supply Chain and Production.
Planning Management:
Responsible for managing the US PLT RE, demand interfaces with sales, customers, and supply chain to ensure alignment between forecast and business objectives. Management of demand planning tools and daily data inputs.
Monitor and adjust demand as needed to ensure and accurate and reliable forecast. Focus on forecast accuracy and implement improvements.
Direct and manage the Marketing Intelligence process. Coordinate the activities for US PLT-RE and USTMA, provide comprehensive reports to support the strategic decision-making processes. This includes identifying. potential market trends, opportunities, and threats.
Provides coordination of data integration into Continental reporting systems, ensure accuracy of the data.
Lead the S&OP process, ensuring effective integration of demand planning, supply planning, and financial planning. Facilitate monthly S&OP meetings with key stakeholders to review performance, align on plans, and address any gaps or issues.
Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of the S&OP process. Ensure the alignment of inventory levels with demand forecasts to optimize supply chain efficiency and minimize costs.
Champion continuous process improvements that provide business value meeting or exceeding Continental standards.
Market Intelligence:
Manage the US PLT RE interface with USTMA data.
Maintain data inputs and outputs from market data providers.
Manage access, users, and directory services for S&P Global, GFK and others.
Lead market research initiatives to gather competitive intelligence, market trends, opportunities, and threats.
Coordinate the five-year strategy plan, and annual budget process.
Demand Planning:
Mange the RICP - Rolling Investment Capacity Planning Process.
Manage the customer interface via the customer collaboration process.
Implement and manage advanced forecasting Tool – Software, and techniques, to improve forecast accuracy and reduce forecast bias.
Monitor forecast performance and adjust models and strategies as necessary to ensure continuous improvement.
Coordinates the communication with Sales, Demand Planning, Pricing, Controlling and Supply Chain.
Assist with the five-year strategy planning and annual budget processes.
Sales and Operations Planning:
Coordinate and manage the Phase in / Phase out process for new articles, and marketing lines.
Align with Sales and Manufacturing and Supply Chain to ensure strategic product decision are be achieved.
Ensure inventory targets are being maintained to meet the demand forecast.
Facilitate monthly S&OP meetings with cross-functional teams to review performance, identify gaps, and develop action plans.
Your profile
BASIC:
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations or related field
10+ years for relatable professional business experience
5+ years of project management experience with at least leading 1 project and 1 major project involving a significant impact of the business
International or highly matrixed organizational experience
Internal qualified candidates will meet internal guidelines for this executive level role:
18+ months experience of leading people and/or projects
18+ months working internationally, cross functionally and/or cross organizationally
Completed a DCfEL within the last 5 years, if not, must be complete before a promotion to SG 13
Advanced level forecasting and planning knowledge
Experience in demand planning models and tools
Expert level analytical and communication skills
Expert level Excel skills
Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. Continental is able to offer visa support for individuals who already hold an existing US valid employment visa
Can offer a domestic relocation package
PREFERRED:
5+ years leadership experience in managing a Demand Planning and Operations team
3-5+ years of experience leading people
