PART TIME POSITION
$13 per hour
MUST BE ABLE TO DRIVE A 15 PASSENGER VAN
Shift: (Mon-Fri) 2p-6p
Group: Rotating (Ages 5-12)
Seeking high energy, creative, flexible, compassionate, and positive afterschool group leader, to provide leadership and guidance to students throughout entire school year. We serve kindergarten through 6th graders. The purpose of the after school group leader is to enhance the students development, through social, educational, and recreational enrichment activities. Areas of responsibilities include:
- Provides an attractive, well kept classroom that encourages creativity, classroom management, and leadership. Also ensuring bulletin boards are current and providing themes.
- Transport students from school site to afterschool site
- Facilitate indoor and outdoor activities.
- Monitors student attendance of the programs by collecting attendance rosters
- Oversee the health and safety of all campers (Providing first aid kits, awareness of allergies/illnesses, and etc.)
- Parent Engagement.
- Understand and be able to implement emergency procedures/plan in case of an emergency.
- Work cooperatively with administration, and other camp staff.
- Maintain the upkeep of camp facility and supplies, and necessary housekeeping duties of the classroom, common areas, bathrooms, and playgroup.
- Plans & implements educational, recreational, and social enrichment activities for campers.
- Familiarize themselves with daily, and weekly schedule, weekly themes, & snack time, and bathroom activities.
- Understand, comprehend, support, follow, and encourage ALL Camp PTS rules and regulations.
- Actively participate in all staff meeting and training sessions.
- Other duties assigned as a afternoon group leader.
** On-The-Job Training Will Be Provided**
Minimum Qualifications:
- CPR & First Aid Certification(s)
- HS Diploma or GED required
- Two year experience working in a childcare setting.
- Valid Driver's License
- Child Abuse Prevention Training & BSAC within 90 days of hire date.
- Must pass a drug screening.
- Must pass a criminal background check'
