Who We Are
We are a is a family-owned food manufacturing company with two locations known as Reed Food Technology and Tastemaker Foods located Mississippi. Our sauce plant, Reed Food Technology in Pearl MS, produces a wide range of sauces for retail, commercial, and industrial customers, including some of the best-known names in the world of competitive BBQ. Our dry-blending facility, Tastemaker Foods in Hernando MS, produces batters, breaders, baking mixes, and dry seasoning blends for customers of all sizes.
What We Are Looking For
The Administrative Assistant performs essential office and communication functions throughout the company. Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask are paramount.
Essential Functions:
- Communicating with Customers and sales people and satisfying requests
- Transfer Customer calls to Customer Service Representative
- Aid in preparation of Sales Orders if necessary
- Place Purchase orders for incoming raw materials when purchaser is out
- Aiding in Scheduling freight for inbound and outbound items on an as needed basis
- Managing Inventory levels with ingredients and packaging
- Monitor products through the various stages of the production process to update records of completion and availability dates
- Communicating between production, customer, and sales people relaying delays, issues, irregularities
- Communicating ingredient order status
- Invoicing customers
- Aiding in collecting payables
- Producing the Production Report
- Balancing Inventory/Packaging Numbers
- Aiding in scheduling production
- Ensuring accuracy in paperwork
- Implementing new systems
- Release orders and schedule shipping dates to ensure timely distribution to customers
- Aid in processing credit card payments accurately
- Other Duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

- Ability to communicate professionally and maintain professional relationships
- Strong proficiency in Word and Excel
- Ability to operate standard office equipment
- Strong decision making
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in a business related field desired; High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 5 years of office experience required (Prior Administrative Assistant role preferred).

- Professional office environment with some time spent in manufacturing plants.

- Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
- May be occasional overnight travel required.
