Job Summary:
Work/Life Balance Monday thru Friday position. No nights, weekends or holidays. We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Certified Pharmacy Technician to join our team. As a Certified Pharmacy Technician, you will work under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist to assist in various pharmacy-related tasks. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of medications to patients.

SUPERVISION: Supervised by Pharmacist in Charge, Pharmacist on Duty, and Compounding Technician Supervisor.
MAJOR DUTIES:
A compounding pharmacy technician performs essential duties of a pharmacy technician within the pharmacy. A pharmacy technician’s duty is to:
· Conduct himself/herself in a professional manner in conformity with all applicable federal, state, and municipal laws and regulations in his/her relationship with the public, health care professions, pharmacist in charge and pharmacists.
· Help health care providers and patients by greeting them in person and by phone;
· answering questions and requests; referring clinical inquiries/requests to the pharmacist.
· Assist patients in understanding their medications and encouraging medication compliance.
· Manage patient accounts utilizing pharmacy software systems, including
· PK software, FYIRx portal, ITRx portal, and Quickbooks.
· Manage inventory for the pharmacy by conducting period inventory counts and collaborating with compounding technicians to ensure all necessary supplies are proactively ordered.
· Assist the pharmacist with managing vendor accounts and invoices.
· Maintain a safe and efficient office environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
· Organize orders for dispensing and shipping by correctly entering prescriptions, preparing labels, filling prescriptions, calculating inventory quantities, and preparing shipping labels.
· Maintain records by recording patient orders and prescriptions. Thoroughly documents all communications with patients and providers.
· Ensure timely delivery of medication by communicating with patients and all pharmacy departments.
