Restaurant Sales Events Manager - Nashville
$50-60k DOE with Monthly Commissions
Position Summary
The Events Manager is responsible for building business for the restaurant through direct and indirect sales techniques including all planning & execution components of private and large party dining and community marketing initiatives.
Essential Job Functions:
- Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets.
- Build and maintain long-lasting, strong relationships with customers while partnering with them to better understand their business objectives and needs.
- Understand industry-specific trends and landscapes.
- Respond to and set up In-House special events, Off-Site catering, buy-outs to ensure we can best show the brand and capture any sales opportunities.
- Identifying market areas and strategic partnerships and opportunities for influencers.
- Developing market strategies and tactics.
- Prospect event planning and execution, as well as professional referral-based events during pre-opening periods.
- Responsible for supporting the General Manager with negotiating the price with clients, then drawing-up and securing BEO’s
- Oversee all aspects of delivery service platforms such as DoorDash, Uber Eats and Grub Hub.
- Manage relationships with our current PR company.
Position & Experience Requirements:
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Proven ability to drive the sales process from start to finish
- Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Proven ability to articulate the distinct aspects of services and products
- Knowledge of R365, Avero, MS Office, Excel, and Slack.
- Understanding of how to position products against competitors
- Understanding and examining and analyzing a P&L’s
- Obtain and maintain all work cards required by the state.
- At least 3 years of experience in sales, ideally within the hospitality, entertainment, or events industry.
- Highly organized with excellent time management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to meet sales targets and convert leads into sales
- Ability to communicate strategies used to build sales while demonstrating results of said strategies.
- Lead development of event pricing structure for large parties and events, as well as manage and update all sales and events menus on a regular basis.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to sit at a desk for up to 8 hours per day. Walking and standing are occasionally required. Length of time of these tasks may vary from day to day and task to task
- Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill cleaning and filing tasks
- Must be able to exert well-paced ability in limited space
- Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis
- Requires writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening, and hearing ability and visual acuity.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
