Job description
The Quality Manager is a critical role for Vox Nutrition and requires an individual with ability to lead several other QA Employees. Candidate must have the ability to communicate and prioritize various departmental needs related to Quality.
Job duties include but are not limited to:
· Plans, coordinates, and directs quality control programs designed to ensure continuous production of products consistent with established standards.
· Formulates and maintains quality control objectives and coordinates objectives.
· Able to dictate quality assurance parameters in the areas of: Distribution, labeling, finished goods, in-house process and warehousing.
· Monitor performance of quality control systems to ensure effectiveness and efficiency.
· Confer with marketing and sales departments to define client requirements and expectations.
· Manage activities such as regulatory agency inspections or product recalls.
· Provide responses to regulatory agencies regarding product information or issues.
· Verification and release of raw ingredient and finished product after testing verification.
Quarantine labels
· Proof physical labels to approved label template.
· Sign off on approved labels on invoice.
· Ensure that version and revision numbers match.
· Ensure quality of label meets established standards, i.e., Color and bleed.
· Conducts pre-print review of labels to ensure proper label is printed.
· Ensures outsourced labels received are properly counted and quality reviews are completed to maintain inventory records are accurate and
· Ensures that correct outsourced labels are used by the customer.
· Inventory tracking and destruction of outdated labels.
· Tracks and updates label inventory
· Destroys outdated labels.
Qualifications include:
- 4-6 years’ experience as a senior quality employee and leader
- Understands FDA (21 CFR 111 & 117), cGMP, and USDA regulations
- Familiar with NSF requirements
- Knowledge of laboratory testing criteria for supplement manufacturing
- Ability to use computers and programs associated with the Quality Department
- Understanding of Organic Certification Requirements
- Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Being bi-lingual in English and Spanish is helpful, but not required
- Must be able to multi task
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
