We’re launching a new game development platform, Incisor®, and we need the help of a seasoned game development software engineer. This role will require someone to gain a thorough understanding of the Incisor® platform, and then to develop the means of communicating aspects of the system’s functionality to people seeing the system for the first time - some of which may have limited engineering experience.
Responsibilities:
-The person in this role will work to develop and manage public-facing technical communications relating to Incisor®, which is a javascript development platform product. https://www.incisordev.com
-Since the product is new (to the public), and the team is small, this person will be required to wear many hats and be completely involved on many levels. This includes:
- Developing unit tests for the product API
- Writing and cross-checking API documentation
- Helping to develop an ‘example style guide’ and writing/editing API examples
- Planning and authoring a series of introductory tutorial videos, as well as more advanced tutorials.
- Planning, developing, and managing in-house and third party online technical comms ‘channels’ i.e. stack overflow etc…
-This role generally consists of a constant evaluation of the user-experience, where the ‘users’ are software developers using the platform we are releasing.
-This role will work closely with marketing and sales to develop comprehensive product-awareness infrastructure and campaigns - this will also require a sense of abstract creativity.
-This role will need to grow as the product and team grow… rapidly.
Qualifications:
- Mandatory: Extensive experience with Javascript
- Mandatory: Extensive experience developing using game engine (Unity, Unreal, Godot, etc)
- Experience with Dotnet, c++
- Experience with TypeScript
- Experience with GitHub & other project coordination software
- Experience contributing code/software knowledge on StackOverflow or equivalent
- Experience with the production of public facing products, and the associated manual and automated testing
- Experience with online database communication and server/client communications
- Experience with technical writing
