KHEOPS Architecture, Engineering and Survey, DPC (KHEOPS) is seeking a land survey Instrument Operator in our Buffalo, NY office.
KHEOPS is headquartered in Buffalo, New York. As a full-service architectural, engineering and survey firm, KHEOPS is experienced in delivering complete engineering services beginning with conceptual planning, and proceeding through the design phase concluding with field construction contract administration. The firm specializes in serving the needs of industrial, commercial, institutional, municipal, state and federal clients. KHEOPS provides comprehensive engineering, architectural, surveying, mapping, environmental, grant writing and construction inspection and administration services to clients in government, business, and industry. KHEOPS roots date back to 1917. We employ a staff of highly qualified and experienced personnel. This in-house staff includes civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing engineers, architects, land surveyors and support staff.
Responsibilities include:
- Assist Party Chief with gathering field survey data to determine precise location and measurement of points, elevations, contours, etc.
- Operate GPS, robotic total stations, data collectors and Trimble survey software.
- Implement quality control procedures to verify collected survey data.
- Assist with providing a feedback loop of positive and improved considerations to design team.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Excellent organizational skills. Strong multi-tasking and follow-up skills. Ability to prioritize.
- Good time management skills and proactive approach.
- High School Graduate or GED
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Trimble survey equipment and software preferred.
- Must be detail oriented and organized.
- Required to work in an outdoor environment, which will require prolonged periods of standing and walking. Must also be capable of lifting objects weighing 50 to 75 pounds.
- Strong work ethic.
- Valid Driver’s License and good driving record.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
