JOB PURPOSE:
This position has responsibility for internal and external quality activities across all locations.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

Develops and implements process control plans and quality improvement measures to assure compliance to quality standards and improve quality at the source.

Assures that standard practices are developed and maintained, that Employees are adequately trained, and that individuals are held accountable for their actions in a constructive manner.

Responds to plant compliance issues, defines key quality issues to the plant, and leads corrective actions with applicable stakeholders.

Collaborate with Continuous Improvement group to identify and implement improvements in processes to affect quality measures

Defines key measures in standard work that includes sampling plans and evaluation/control methods.

Collects data, identifies trends, utilizes various metrics and reports to provide factual feedback to internal leaders and external stakeholders regarding quality performance.

Pre-qualifies all new processes to ensure compliance with industry and customer standards.

Serves as a liaison to various organizational functions and teams regarding quality.

Utilizing industry recognized quality processes and tools, leads investigation, root cause analysis, and resolution for all quality issues.

Maintains the voice of customer standard for the organization, as well as, customer scorecard performance reporting.

Participate in professional development and training, e.g, industry associations, short courses
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervises assigned staff. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience: 5+ years of work experience in a quality engineering and/or manager role.

Education: Associate degree in related field. Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Sciences, Engineering, Engineering Technology, Industrial Technology, or closely related field.
SKILLS BASED REQUIREMENTS:

Previous experience/strong understanding of quality tools like control plans, FMEA, APQP, QFD and SPC.

Ability to work on diverse teams across several business units

Demonstrated proficiency with operations and quality data and design programs and applications along with Microsoft Office/365 (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and/or Power BI)

Previous experience/best practices implementing and using continuous improvement/lean tools such as; 5-S, Lean Manufacturing, Transactional Lean, etc. to drive improvement.

WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Ideally the position will be near a company location though remote and hybrid options may be available. The position may include outdoor work in various conditions. Travel will be required within the United States and Canada. This is a physical job with a high probability of stooping, crouching, crawling, bending, twisting, pushing, and pulling, use of legs and hands, etc. If needed, some accommodation may be possible.
