Position Summary:
Quality Control Technician will check raw materials, manufactured products and third-party manufactured products to ensure that they conform to documented specifications prior to release.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities (Additional Responsibilities As Assigned):
- Check incoming raw materials and 3rd party manufactured products against sampling plans and material specifications following prescribed test methods
- Review supplier test certificates for accuracy/completeness
- Identify conforming and non-conforming raw materials/3rd party products after testing
- Check manufactured batches for key characteristics in accordance with QC inspection reports.
- Investigate root causes for nonconforming products, and quarantine parts if required.
- Support QA with customer complaints, as relevant.
- Advise production personnel of batch adjustments if required
- Raise concession form/quarantine note/scrap authorization form as required for nonconforming product for submission & approval by Management
- Record raw material and production batch test results accordingly conduct basic data analysis to identify trends
- Maintain retained samples for raw materials, manufactured batches and sample slides and manage the disposal of old samples as required.
- Maintain QC lab scope documentation
- Ensure measuring equipment is calibrated in accordance with HumiSeal’s documented process
- Support other business functions as required by the line manager.
- Support other plants as necessary (line manager must be communicated and agree with activities before committing).
- Ensure QC lab documentation is controlled, correct, maintained, and available
- Conduct MSA studies in accordance with business needs.
- Conduct internal audits in accordance with the audit schedule.
- Conduct batch planning to achieve high levels of RFT, report results, root cause and suggestive corrective actions.
- Support and mentor QC group with the maintenance of a high level of 6S in the workplace.
- Support business as a preparation for and during Quality Audits, in accordance with roles and responsibilities.
- Support business functions to devise risk assessments, in accordance with roles, responsibilities and experience.
- Write weekly reports to the line manager describing above listed tasks, where applicable, and arrange meetings to discuss and explain the topics.
Education
BS Chemistry/Polymer chemistry or related discipline is required.
Knowledge And Experience
- Experience of manufacture and testing of conformal coatings.
- Full understanding & experience of laboratory test methods related to GCMS, FTIR, viscosity, solids, cure, gloss, moisture etc.
- Knowledge of ISO standards and customer requirements.
- Ability to use MS Word & Excel
- Ability to work with other functions/departments
- Must possess a keen eye for detail
- Must have experience with 8D reports and problem-solving tools.
- Must be organized, methodical and able to prioritize
- Must have appropriate level of ability to remain focused on the task objective and to perform in accordance with clear expectations and goals.

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
