Marklund is seeking highly motivated and mission-centered individual for the position of Bridge Builder Program Manager. This is a full-time position based out of Marklund's Nathan Education Center in Elgin , IL. This position has a schedule of Monday - Friday 8 AM - 4 PM. Candidates must be able to perform the essential functions of the job and to meet its functional and environmental requirements.
Who We Are:
Marklund is a nonprofit organization that provides residential, educational and therapy services to infants, children, teens and adults with serious and profound developmental disabilities and special healthcare needs. With three residential locations - the Marklund Hyde Center in Geneva, the Marklund Philip Center in Bloomingdale, and the Marklund Wasmond Center in Elgin, it is currently home to nearly 178 residents. The Marklund Day School offers Multi-Needs and Life Skills programs for children and young adults with multiple medical needs, and those diagnosed on the autism spectrum. In addition, our Community Day Services program at each site is a therapeutic day program for adults who reside at Marklund and those who come in from the community.

Responsibilities include:
Overall management of the daily functions of the Bridge Builder Program including the implementation and oversight of vocational programming.
Responsible for all in-house Community Day Services vocational programs and community integration opportunities for program participants.
Supports direct reports in a manner that allows for maximum growth and development of the individual.
Provide oversight of classroom and community vocational programs utilizing each client’s IPP.
Participates in IPP meetings to ensure proper development of each individual.
Provides education and in-services to staff on client specific vocational programs.
Monitors the performance of direct reports and provides timely and appropriate feedback regarding performance issues and works with employees to enhance work performance.
Provides direction and supervision to Developmental Instructors, direct care staff, and volunteers.
Plan, develop, implement, and organize community outreach events and volunteers to advance the mission and goals of the agency.
Secures and maintain both volunteer and paid work sites in the community for program participants.
- Acts as the QIDP as necessary.

Experience and Skills:
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a Human Services related field required.

DHS QIDP Certification required (we can provide this training after hire to get certification if needed)

3 - 5 years of management experience preferred.
