Utility Sales & Service (USSI) is a rapidly growing manufacturer and service provider of custom-made aerial lift trucks in Appleton.
CAD Designer Essential Duties: Essential job duties for this position include the following items. Other duties must be performed as assigned or required.
- Create 3D models of utility trucks, utilizing models of supplied components and manufactured items.
- Create electrical schematics for trucks as needed based on manufacturing input.
- Partner with others to create hydraulic system layouts.
- Participate in final design reviews with customer in order to achieve final customer approvals.
- Provide designs and models of components for supplier use in manufacturing.
- Continuous design improvement for faster installation and cost reduction.
- Use proper build documentation for creating 3D models.
- Participate in meetings when necessary.
- Develop and maintain the part, build, and drawings database.
CAD Designer Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, the individual in this position must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the minimum knowledge, skills and ability required.
Education/Experience:
- Technical College Drafting or Mechanical Design Degree or currently enrolled; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience with Fusion 360 3D modeling software, or another program, making templates and drawings.
- Experience with AutoCAD and HydroSym a plus.
- Basic understanding of fabrication and assembly processes.
- Beginner to Intermediate experience with PC software programs including: Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, Sage 100, Adobe is preferred, but not required.
- Good work ethic, attitude, and attendance record required.
- If position is offered, a physical, drug test, and background check are required.

Hours: First shift, Monday-Friday, 7am-3:30pm (with a little flexibility on the start time.)
Pay: $19-25.00/hour
