About the Role:
The Data Analyst is responsible for the collection, analysis, and dissemination of data and results based on the evaluation and reportingof BTs programmatic functions.

Throughout our 30+ year history of innovation, Big Thought has become a national model in arts education, out of school time systems, summer learning and juvenile justice intervention. Big Thoughts is one of the six community organizations in the U.S to assist in advancing and scaling national best practices in Social and Emotional Learning (SEL). We take a direct-to-youth program approach and offer resources to communities with the greatest needs. We provide and recommend evidence-based best practices with similar nonprofits and organizations through a variety of consultation services, such as professional development, curriculum design, and technical assistance.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

Establish a process for data gathering and documentation

Recommend workflow and process improvements impacting data sources

Identify opportunities to improve reporting methods
-
Meticulous analysis of data gathered
-
Report trends/fluctuations, etc.

Monitor and publish on an ongoing basis results to organizational plan

Infuse inclusion and equity both internally and externally

High degree of EQ (emotional intelligence)

Develop reports/spreadsheets in an understandable manner

Collaborate with programs, systems, operations, etc. to produce results

Extract and analyze large datasets from various databases
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelors degree preferred
-
1-3 yearsexperience in similar role
-
Expertise in data analysis and trend analysis

Above average skills in research & evaluation

Prior non-profit experience a plus

Excellent communication skills written/oral
