We take pride in our reputation for excellence and are excited to welcome an experienced Assistant Leasing Manager to join our Residential Leasing team. Our ideal candidate is an experienced professional with a strong background in residential property management, a history of successfully leading teams, and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service. This role assists the Leasing Manager in overseeing all leasing operations, providing leadership to the team, and playing a key role in the success of our residential leasing operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily activities of leasing team members, including distribution of leads, monitoring compliance with established leasing workflow standards, and reviewing daily communications between agents and customers for a large portfolio of 42 different campus communities.
- Serve as a coach and mentor to the leasing team by regularly monitoring agent performance in all aspects of the leasing workflow from lead to lease. The ideal candidate will be able to assess agent performance, identify areas of opportunity, and develop strategies for improvement where needed.
- Provide regular reporting to the Leasing Manager on department performance metrics, and interpret data to identify opportunities to sharpen sales skills beyond the basics to support company goals.
- Develop new strategies to maximize revenue growth and leasing performance such as dynamic pricing recommendations, leasing incentives, and commissions.
- Work side by side with the Residential Services team to ensure the satisfaction of current and future residents. Demonstrate a commitment to excellence and alignment of the JSM brand across the entire portfolio.
- Responsible for defining and communicating job expectations to the leasing team, ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures, holding team members accountable where applicable, and reporting areas of concern and front-line needs to the Leasing Manager.
- Work closely with the Leasing Manager and HR to assess staffing levels, address any gaps, and ensure team performance is on track.
Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in residential property management
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Strong project management and customer service skills
- Proficiency in property management software and tools. Experience with Entrata is a plus.
- Knowledge of fair housing laws and leasing regulations
- Ability to analyze market trends and develop effective leasing strategies
- A valid driver's license is required
