As a Production Planner, you will establish and monitor production schedules by checking material statuses, tracking production progress, and identifying potential constraints affecting timely completion of all projects.
In this role you will
1. Facilitate the convergence of information, material, and personnel on time in a way which ensures cost-effective production of high-quality engineered solutions.
2. Plan and schedule orders based on material availability and production capacity using ERP System (SAP, Infor LN), Excel, and/or Delfoi Planner in order to support customer requirements and factory goals.
3. Ensure accuracy of production department’s capacity planning, including contemplation of future demand forecasts in Power BI.
4. Release production orders on time to schedule and in accordance with customer demand.
5. Coordinate timely availability of required materials to production workforce by driving warehouse kitting schedule requirements and elevating components with unsuitable delivery schedules to the attention of supply chain counterparts.
6. Establish reporting mechanisms to quantify required production schedule adjustments and predict production performance to budget.
Expectations
The desired candidate must meet these requirements:
1) 5-8 Years Experience in production planning or related field within an industrial assembly or manufacturing setting.
2) A Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline.
3) Knowledge of ERP systems (Infor LN or SAP preferred) and a background in capacity planning.
To be successful in this role, you must be organized, analytical, self-directed, and have a strong work ethic.
This position requires a valid driver’s license. The position will be located in the Houston, Texas area.
