Overview:
The National Training Program Specialist is responsible for working with key stakeholders across the Home Chef Operations Department to design, develop, and deliver training materials and content for national-level and site-level training programs. This role involves creating engaging and effective content to support the training needs of a diverse audience across Home Chef sites. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in instructional design, content development, and training delivery, as well as excellent communication and organizational skills.
Responsibilities:
Content development for the ops team for facilitation through online platforms and in-person:
-
Develop comprehensive training content, including presentations, guides, videos, and other materials, according to national and site needs
-
Create engaging and informative training content tailored to diverse roles containing a variety of different language speakers within the fulfillment teams.

Seeks out relevant industry best practices on which to base the format, structure, and style of the training materials
-
Apply instructional design principles to create engaging and interactive training experiences that maximize learning outcomes.

Creates training materials that are intuitive and impactful for users for a wide variety of purposes including both core skill development and function-specific skills development
-
Uploads training material to the LMS to make the training content available across sites and manage the content on the platform
-
Iterates and improves on training content with responsiveness to feedback from users while adding new training content as needs arise
-
Develop assessment tools and evaluation criteria to measure the effectiveness of training content and delivery
Works with cross-functional stakeholders and subject-matter experts to gather comprehensive content to build training:

Connects with individuals across the Fulfillment and broader Operations organization to seek out insights, functional information, and content requirements that the training plans must incorporate and satisfy.

Includes and engages cross-functional stakeholders in the material creation process to ensure comprehensive buy-in and accuracy of content
-
Collects ongoing feedback from cross-functional stakeholders to continuously improve materials and to surface any new needs as they evolve

Travel to sites as needed to understand processes and collect information relevant to the training
Manage learning management system and reports:

Master the learning management system including:
-
Create and manage user accounts, roles, and permissions within the LMS
-
Works with sites to implement onboarding and refresher plans and also track performance.
-
Ensures all local managers are appropriately trained on the content, schedule, agenda, and platform used to onboard and continuously train employees.

Seeks feedback with the help of the local trainers to continuously improve the content and schedule of training
-
Tracks usage and compliance.
-
Manages national directory of training materials
-
Serve as a point of contact for LMS-related inquiries and technical issues.
-
Troubleshoot and resolve user issues to ensure uninterrupted access to training materials.
-
Evaluate and implement integrations between the LMS and other systems (e.g., ADP, Google Sheets) to streamline data flow and reporting.
-
Stay informed about LMS updates and upgrades to leverage new features and enhancements effectively.
-
Analyze training data and metrics to make data-driven decisions and continuously improve training programs
Support overall initiatives of the Operations Excellence team and partner with the fulfillment sites:

Work with the overall national team on cross-functional projects.
-
Provide training support to corporate stakeholders.
-
Work on ad-hoc requests, as needed.
This position requires at least 25% travel. It is also required for this position to report to the local site weekly on Wednesdays when not traveling.

Qualifications:

Completion of a two-year program such as an Associate degree

Knowledge of training software platforms; otherwise, ability to quickly learn new software platforms

At least 3 years in a role with major responsibility training individuals, ideally across many diverse functions

Strong creative and storytelling skills to design engaging learning experiences.

Ability to incorporate interactive elements, multimedia components, and gamification techniques into training content.
-
Enthusiasm for boosting the capabilities of a workforce and continuously leveling up the team’s capabilities
-
At least 2 years of experience in production/operational environments or working directly with those in a production/operational environment preferred but not required
-
Strong ability to track details and keep track of projects
-
Interpersonal skills to build rapport and trusting relationships with team members across the Operations organization at various levels and across various functions
-
Experience working collaboratively with subject matter experts, trainers, and stakeholders to gather content requirements and feedback.

Meticulous attention to detail in content development, editing, and proofreading to ensure accuracy and quality.

Self-starter who is results-oriented, resourceful, takes initiative, and is capable of handling multiple responsibilities at a time

Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

Commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated with industry trends and best practices.

General computer proficiency (i.e., Microsoft Word, Excel, Gmail, PowerPoint)
