Sales Representative
Position Summary:
As a Sales Representative for Borsheim Logistics (BL) you will be responsible for developing strong working relationships and providing support with targeted indirect and direct accounts to achieve revenue and growth goals for the company.
Essential Job Functions:
- Builds and maintains a network of sources from which to identify new sales leads.
- Communicates with customers and leads to identify and understand their product or service needs; identifies and suggests products and services to meet those needs.
- Demonstrates the functions and utility of products or services to customers based on their needs.
- Ensures customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management; resolves any issues that may arise post-sale.
- Maintains communication with existing and previous customers, alerting them of new products, services, and enhancements that may be of interest.
- Maintains detailed reports of sales activities including calls, orders, sales, lost business, and any customer or vendor relationship problems.
- Provides periodic territory sales forecasts.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Essential Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required with Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 2 years of sales experience in logistics, brokerage, and freight forwarding.
- Current Driver's License with clear driving record.
- Must pass a Pre-Employment Background Check and Drug Screen.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Able to produce a book of business (i.e. customers)
- Familiarity with heavy haul and oversize loads.
- Ability to do Estimates
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
- Quick learner and problem solver
- Communicates effectively to gain the trust of clients and employees
- Ability and desire to make cold calls and follow up with new and past customers
- Ability to determine equipment based on client application
- Understand sales cycle from account development through account collections
- Familiarity with quoting
- Strong track record of successful account development and closing skills
- Strong communication skills including technical writing

Compensation:
- Base pay starting at $56,000 - $70,000 DOE, with the opportunity to earn up to $100,000+ with commission.
