Manual Machinist

The qualified individual will be responsible for set-up and operation of lathes, drills, mills, and other machines. Essential Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate manual machines such as lathes, mills, and grinders
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Use mechanical knowledge to fabricate and modify parts as needed
- Perform tooling changes and adjustments
- Measure and inspect parts using precision instruments such as calipers and micrometers
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve machining issues
- Assemble finished parts according to specifications
- Ensure compliance with safety guidelines and maintain a clean work area
Essential Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a manual machinist or similar role
- Proficient in the use of manual machining tools and equipment
- Strong knowledge of tooling, cutting speeds, feeds, and materials
- Familiarity with CNC machines a plus
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics
- Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Perform other related duties as requested to meet the ongoing needs of the organization
