RESPONSIBILITIES/WORK REQUIREMENTS:
Posting and auditing daily charges for multiple physicians – correcting and adding modifiers if necessary
Review all charges for coding accuracy
Ensure timely entry of all charges for billing.
Applying all payments for assigned payer with detailed and timely follow up of denied claims and appeals and general Insurance A/R
Timely follow up of patient A/R and collection activity
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Minimum 2 years of experience in medical practice setting.
CPC or equivalent certification required with good working knowledge of current CPT and ICD-10 terminology
Very well organized, self-motivated, accountable and attentive to detail
Excellent written, verbal and communication skills
Ability to work independently and under pressure
Ability to multi-task and prioritize work tasks.
