The Deposit Operations Specialist is responsible for the processing of the operations items from each Office. This position is also responsible for problem solving and providing guidance to Office personnel when the next level of support is required to ensure the Bank is within the Regulatory guidelines for item processing, protecting the Bank from penalties and loss while ensuring the overall vision of Stellar Bank is achieved and maintained.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. NSF processing within established guidelines and processing deadlines.
2. Exception Item processing within established critical deadlines.
3. Processing FED returns and Chargebacks.
4. Process ACH returns and Reclamations- adhering to NACHA Rules as applicable.
5. Act as subject matter expert on core system and processing
6. Review daily reports as needed.
7. Provide research on requested items as needed by offices.
8. Act as a critical team member to Disaster Recovery plan.
9. Provide excellent customer service to Allegiance Bank employees and customers that the bank is known for.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
This position is not responsible for the supervision of employees. However, it is expected to provide leadership, training and support to less experienced employees.
ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL ACTIVITY
The incumbent is in a non-confined office setting in which they are free to move about at will. In the course of performing the duties and responsibilities of this position spends time writing, speaking, listening, lifting (up to 25 pounds), sitting, typing on a computer keyboard, and standing, kneeling and reaching.
The incumbent for this position may operate any of all of the following: telephone, copy and fax machine, adding machine, computer and related printers.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 2 years of related experience.
- Intermediate knowledge of related banking compliance regulations, and other Bank operational policies.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Intermediate skills in computer operation, Intermediate skills in Outlook, Microsoft Office Suite.
- Intermediate typing skills to meet production needs of the position.
- Basic math skills; calculate interest and balance accounts; add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals; locate routine mathematical errors.
- Ability to deal with routine problems involving multiple facets and variables in standardized situations.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work with general supervision while performing duties.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
