Requirements:
Minimum 5 + years Outside Sales experience
Industrial or distribution sales to manufacturers experience is a plus
Proven track record of hitting sales targets and/or sales quota
Excellent negotiation and presentation skills
The purpose of the Outside Sales Representative position is to manage and develop sales within the assigned territory.
Specific Job Responsibilities:
- Managing all account activity including: negotiating pricing, providing direction on quotes, initiating proposals, and closing sales within territory.
- Intermediate Excel skills required.
- Responsible for meeting or exceeding annual sales and gross profit goals for the company.
- Maintain, identify, negotiate and manage strategic relationships with suppliers.
- Develop sales of all product lines within new or existing accounts.
- Assess, evaluate, and establish new business opportunities within assigned geographic territory. Establishing new accounts within territory. Increase revenue with new and existing customers companywide.
- Work jointly with Manufacturer's sales representative to develop business and strengthen vendor partnerships.
- Develop quotations for customers within corporate profit objectives and guidelines.
- Provide feedback on pricing, service, new products, quality, customer needs, and competition to the appropriate departments within the Company.
