Job Title: FSQA Manager - SQF Practitioner

Summary/Objective:
FSQA Manager is responsible for overseeing quality and maintaining Food Safety and Quality Assurance Management Systems to support manufacturing of wholesome and quality food ingredients that meet or exceed SQF requirements and in accordance with its code. FSQA Manager ensures that products received, produced, and shipped meet company and client specifications. This position is responsible for maintaining, implementing, and managing the HACCP and SQF programs, and to work closely with other departments to ensure compliance with appropriate regulations. This position is also responsible for the timely completion, review, and disposition of regulatory documents and facility records, and performs activities associated with document flow, along with updating nutritional information across all product offerings.
Essential Functions:

Serves as a primary SQF Practitioner. (Bakery Manager is an alternative and takes FSQA Managers place in his/her absence).

Oversees and enforces compliance food safety system including administrative policies, procedures, safety rules, and governmental regulations, including SQF, HACCP and FSMA.

Conducts annual HACCP reassessments, monthly facility audits and plant verifications.

Oversees corrective actions, preventive measures, and investigations related to food safety and food quality non–conformities.

Develops and maintains Policies and Procedures and monitoring forms in accordance with SQF System.

Leads 3rd party audits and annual SQF audit.

Oversees and maintains company’s Food Safety and Quality training.

Creates and distributes reports as required by management.

Establishes operational procedures for activities such as verification of outgoing shipments and keeping inventory current.

Serves as a primary contact for all regulatory and client-requested audits.

Evaluates nightly manpower requirements for each area and coordinates personnel accordingly as it pertains to SQF and/or Food Safety/Quality.

Inspects physical condition of warehouse and equipment as it relates to food safety production.

Participates in planning personnel safety and plant protection activities.

Confers and cooperates with other management personnel in formulating policies and procedures.

Monitors and ensures integrity of products and ensures that food safety standards are met or exceeded.

Oversees and manages Microbiological Testing and Foreign Material Control Programs.

Conducts documentation and records daily verification.

Monitors daily, monthly, quarterly, annual, and as needed documentation across multiple departments in relation to maintaining SQF certification.

Creates and maintains nutritional information across various product offerings.
Work Environment:
Must have flexibility to work all shifts, all days of the week, when necessary. Ability to tolerate extreme temperatures. Exposure to cleaning solvents.
