Hope House Shift Supervisor - This individual will support the work of the Sheltered Housing Director and Hope House team. The role of this person is to ensure the safety and supervision of Hope House and the guests during their shift. The goal of the Shift Supervisor is to develop and nurture healthy relationships, fostering a community of love and acceptance. This person creates accountability in truth with love and grace. The Shift Supervisor maintains a culture where each person’s dignity and value are recognized and esteemed. While modeling a servant heart of humility, Christ-like love and kindness, the Shift Supervisor walks and works alongside each guest as they discover their God-given worth, potential and purpose.
Supervision This position will report directly to the Housing Director.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Greet and interact with every new guest as soon as possible.
- Be a Christ-like example in attitude, conduct, and actions.
- Create a friendly, supportive environment for all guests.
- Maintain confidentiality and good boundaries with residents at all times.
- Provide the necessary help, support and encouragement for guests to complete their daily responsibilities.
- Document any behavioral or other program related concerns, recording any incidence during your shift such as illness, injury, staff absence, etc.
- Verbally transfer pertinent and necessary information during shift change.
- Report any possible security concerns to the Housing Director
- Monitor the cleanliness of rooms and assist guests as needed to keep their rooms organized and clean.
- Keep the medication data up to date for each guest and give oversight to the reception of medication.
- Fill daily toiletries supply request and deliver to the guests.
- Retrieve, sort, and deliver all mail to guests and staff members.
- Uphold and carry out the policies and procedures of the Guest Manual.
- Field all phone calls and leave call back messages for the Housing Director and other staff.
- Monitor and data entry of all Hope House supplies inventory.
· Maintain Hope House waitlist and perform intake interviews. Schedule and assist new guest move-in.
· Oversee the Paxton Keycard system ensuring that the system has up-to-date information. Create keycards, and ensure that past guests’ cards are deleted and lost keys are inactive.
· Perform a variety of administration task such as, but not limited to, filing, shredding documents, creation of guest program folders, data entry, upkeep of VCM entries, HMIS data entry, and making copies.
- Assist the Housing Director with other duties as assigned.
- Attend weekly and monthly staff meetings.
· Work with the Housing Director to ensure there is 100% coverage and supervision of Hope House – including evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Welcome, supervise and nurture the investment of volunteers at Hope House.

· Maintains a working knowledge of Excel, Access, Word, Publisher, PowerPoint, case management database, HMIS, Paxton Key Card System, and Outlook.
- Experience using office equipment, computer, security system and multiple phone lines
Financial Compensation
· This is a part-time hourly position of 15-20 hours per week. Pay received bi-weekly. Reviews conducted annually.
· Pay Range $15-$17/hour
Schedule
· Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
