TITLE: Office Administration/Accounting Clerk
LOCATION: This is an onsite positio n based in the Franklin, TN area.
HOURS : 7:00 am - 3:30 pm, CT Monday - Friday
STATUS : non-exempt, hourly.

POSITION SUMMARY: The Office Administration/Accounting Clerk is responsibilities include supporting general office administrative tasks related to maintaining office services. They must naturally operate well in a fast-paced environment and always maintain the highest standard of professionalism and confidentiality. They will support the office and operations team in fostering relationships and displaying a service-minded approach to support the organization's culture..
E SSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Responsible for accounting/bookkeeping functions, managing entries for accounts receivables, posting payments, and banking deposits.
Perform an audit at the end of each day to balance all accounting activities.
Review the account information and necessary system applications to determine the next appropriate work activity.
Opens and sorts the mail, scans required documents, and updates systems for document processing
Handles administrative work such as filing, data entry, updating tracking logs, scanning, sorting, routing faxes received on fax servers, etc.
Updates patient information and computer records, as needed and requested by operational team members or management.
Research and obtain required documents to resolve misdirected mail, faxes, emails, or other correspondence.
Participate in meetings, training seminars, and in-services to develop job knowledge.
Respond timely to emails and telephone messages from the staff, management, and the client.
Effectively communicate issues to management, including escalated account issues, and develop solutions.
Maintains a high level of professionalism and confidentiality and consistently demonstrates being trustworthy

REQUIREMENTS:
A high school diploma or equivalent, an associate degree is preferred
A minimum of 1 year of experience as an administrative assistant or related office-related duties, experience in a medical office environment preferred
A minimum of 1 year of prior accounting or bookkeeping experience dealing with bookkeeping systems updates, banking deposits, and spreadsheets.
Effective oral and written skills, interpersonal skills, and the demonstrated ability to interact effectively with all levels of staff and external customers
Experience with various software applications such as, Microsoft Office, Word and Excel spreadsheets
Incumbents are required to work onsite at a Strivant Health-approved office location to perform the duties of the role by regularly interacting with managers and other staff members
Knowledge of office technologies, such as scanning, faxing, video conferencing
Proven ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and always demonstrate being trustworthy
Knowledge of healthcare or previous work in a medical office or medical terminology preferred
Willingness to learn new procedures and adapt to a changing work environment
