Knowledge & Responsibilities:
Under general supervision, the Facilities Maintenance Technician works independently performing routine general maintenance, service, and repair of facilities and equipment. The Facilities Maintenance Technician performs all repairs and adjustments of doors, dock levelers, HVAC/Evaporative coolers, and electrical work in accordance with OSHA Standards. Inspects other operating equipment to ensure compliance and operational standards by providing emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during routine preventive maintenance and maintains accurate preventive maintenance records.
Additional Responsibilities Include:
- Test, maintain, and evaluate equipment performance using instruments such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, pyrometers, and pressure gauges.
- Maintain tools and machinery in good condition and use tools and equipment carefully as instructed.
- Conducts test of safety equipment to ensure OHSA and operational standards.
- Keeps work area clean and performs housekeeping duties as required.
- Able to perform routine maintenance on external equipment and grounds to include, painting, etc.
- Coordinates with vendors to perform repairs on specialized equipment, as needed.
- Performs related work and other job assignments as required.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience working as a maintenance technician or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of electrical, HVAC/Evaporative coolers, mechanical systems, plumbing, forklift repair and maintenance including troubleshooting and repair.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and vendors.
- Provides suggestions to improve processes, procedures, and department in support of company goals.
- Maintains a positive and constructive work environment within the department as well as with other departments and promotes teamwork.
- Welding experience a plus!
- Certifications would be a plus!
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
