Job Description
Title: Call Center Representative
Department: Patient Care Center
Location: Newport Beach, CA
Hours: 40 hours per week – Monday through Friday, 8 am – 5 pm
The Call Center Representative serves patients through high-volume inbound and outbound calls for patients who seek to schedule medical office visits. Further, the Call Center Representative helps patients navigate their care with NewportCare Medical Group by directing each patient to the right department. Further, the Call Center Representative helps collect and update patient demographic data in the patient’s clinical chart. Further duties include, but are not limited to:
- Manage a high volume of inbound and outbound patient calls.
- Accurately collect patient demographic, insurance, and third-party information to ensure the patient's chart is accurate and up to date.
- Quickly identify patient needs, clarify information, and transfer patient calls to the right department.
- Answer questions relating to patient insurance benefits.
- Schedule, reschedule, and cancel patient appointments.
- Assist patients with making payments on their patient accounts.
- Encourage patients to complete online patient satisfaction surveys.
- Display superior customer service skills.
- Ability to exhibit cooperation, flexibility, and provide assistance when interfacing with physicians, management, staff, and patients.
- Any and all other duties as assigned.
Experience/Education/Training/Licensure
- High school diploma.
- At least one year of medical receptionist experience or internship.
- PracticeFusion and AdvancedMD experience is desirable.
- Ability to multi-task while simultaneously providing exceptional customer service.
- Ability to work collaboratively under pressure.
- Excellent time management skills and sound judgment.
- Willingness to go above and beyond to provide patients with concierge care.
