Position Overview:
This is a hands-on position and will require that the individual be responsible for leading the daily activities of a team of production workers. The Supervisor will be accountable for achieving operational goals, while maintaining quality and safety standards.
This individual will be responsible for contributing to a consistent, safe, and productive work environment through participation in corporate programs, and adhering to operational and personnel policies and procedures. With a focus on the success of the overall operation, the individual will work closely with the production, quality and maintenance teams to maintain optimal quality, safety and efficiencies.
HOURS:
2:00PM - 1:00AM
- Direct the day-to-day operations of a production shift.
- Train and develop employees on job skills, best practices, SOP, and the Company vision by coaching and role modeling.
- Effectively communicate job expectations to a wide range of in-house and temporary employees.
- Enhance teammate skills through orientation, training and feedback
- Monitor and evaluate teammate performance and provide appropriate feedback through use of positive reinforcement, coaching, counseling, and disciplinary action.
- Maintain safe and clean work environment by educating and directing teammates on the use of equipment, resources and processes.
- Create schedules and work assignments.
- Monitor facilities and equipment for safety (food and teammate) issues and respond appropriately.
- Provide production information by recording, compiling, and analyzing production performance records and data.
- Write, review and modify SOP’s
- Maintain compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Resolve problems by analyzing data, investigating issues, identifying solutions and recommending action.
- Identify and implement cost reductions and/or process improvements
- Ensure operation of equipment by calling for repairs and communicating with the maintenance team.
- Communicate effectively with team members from other shifts to ensure clarity and continuity.
- Follow instructions as directed by the Production Manager or other plant executives.
- Actively participate in Food Safety and Food Defense related activities.
- Perform additional duties as directed.
- BA of BS degree in business, management, engineering or related filed, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in manufacturing supervision and leadership, continuous improvement and lean techniques; food/processing environment preferred.
- Must have passed a complete background check.
- Must be legally eligible to work in the United States.
- English language proficiency, both written and verbal.
