POSITION OVERVIEW
The People (HR) Specialist provides administrative support to the People department. This role is responsible for handling various tasks and assisting with the day-to-day operations of the People department. The Coordinator plays a crucial role in maintaining accurate records, facilitating onboarding and offboarding processes, and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:

Maintain and update Member records, including personal information, benefits, attendance, and performance data

Ensure data accuracy and confidentiality while adhering to company policies and legal requirements

Support Talent Acquisition as needed, coordinate interviews, schedule candidate assessments, and coordinate interviews

Prepare new hire paperwork and support the onboarding process

Assist Members with benefit inquiries and resolve basic benefit-related issues

Process and track Member enrollment, changes, and terminations in benefit programs

Collaborate with benefits providers to ensure accurate and timely administration

Conduct exit interviews and assist with the offboarding process

Update records, retrieve company property, and facilitate the return of company assets

Maintain HR files and databases to ensure accurate record-keeping

Generate HR reports as requested by management

Assist in the implementation and communication of HR policies and procedures

Ensure compliance with labor laws, regulations, and internal policies

Stay up-to-date with HR best practices and industry trends

Provide general administrative assistance, such as answering phone calls, responding to emails, and scheduling meetings

Help maintain office supplies and HR-related inventory

Support HR projects and initiatives as assigned

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

High school diploma or equivalent required

One (1) year of experience in a Human Resources administrative role.

Previous administrative experience in an office environment is desirable

Basic knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and HR policies is a plus

Strong organizational and attention to detail skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant software

Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion

Strong problem-solving and time management abilities
-
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Member must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in English may also be required.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

SALARY
$22 per hour - $24 per hour
