Job Summary
Responsible for Sales and portion of Marketing efforts of CSX’s Export Coal portfolio with annual revenues exceeding $1 billion.
Primary Activities and Responsibilities
- Sell and manage CSX Transportation (CSXT) services to coal producers and commodity traders globally.
- Develop, negotiate and close large, complex commercial proposals in conjunction with all relevant CSX groups including Marketing, Service Design, Operations, Customer Service, Industrial Development, etc.
- Create and execute strategic account plans for customers.
- Lead and strengthen business relationships within CSXT and customer organizations while striving for improved performance or increased business levels.
- Lead and develop improved service plans with customer and appropriate CSX groups, including Service Design, Transportation, and Bulk Operations.
- Miscellaneous activities and responsibilities as assigned by manager
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree/4-year Degree
- 3 or more years of experience in Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations, Business/Strategic Management, Sales, Account Management, Marketing, or Finance
Preferred Qualifications
- Graduate Degree
- 5 or more years of experience in Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations, Business/Strategic Management, Sales, Account Management, Marketing, or Finance
