Providence Public Schools District (PPSD) seeks an exceptional HIGH SCHOOL INSTRUCTIONAL COACH-GENERALIST who is highly qualified and skillful to join our community of teachers, students and stakeholders. REPORTS TO: Principal
The instructional coach maintains a positive, caring, and supportive learning culture and environment for the diverse student population of PPSD. As part of the leadership team, the coach helps foster a professional learning community focused on analyzing student data to inform the instructional priority and/or school improvement plan. Additionally, they will be required to provide teachers with support through coaching, observation, and feedback, as well as build the capacity of teachers to improve student outcomes. The instructional coach-generalist supports teachers with the implementation of high-quality instructional strategies aligned to CCSS(ELA and Math), WIDA, TESOL and/or SLA, with a focus on supporting all students academically, linguistically and social emotionally.
Salary note: this position contains 5 extra days
**Contingent upon funding**
Bachelor’s degree in an applicable field of education from an accredited college or university required; Master’s degree is preferred.
Three years of experience in classroom teaching is required. Related management, supervisory experience, and educational leadership experience are preferred.
Multilingual candidate preferred
RIDE Certification Requirements:
Secondary Grades English Teacher, Grades 7-12 or
Secondary Grades Math Teacher, Grades 7-12
AND
All Grades English to Speakers of Other Languages Teacher, Grades PK-12 or
Secondary Grades Bilingual and Dual Language Education Teacher, Grades 7-12
