SUMMARY
The IS Senior Functional Analyst (BPC) role is to support the operations of the organization’s SAP BPC System and to work with key business users and process owners in the Accounting/Controlling & the Finance organization. Specific responsibilities include the support of the BPC Consolidation, BPC Reporting and related financial reporting applications. This support consists of the requirement analysis, design, configuration, training, and maintenance of the company’s investments in proprietary BPC technologies.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
May include, but are not limited to, the following:

Designing and implementing financial & management reporting systems using BPC (including financial reporting solutions for multiple GAAPs and multiple currencies for a multi-national company)

Providing project management for BPC related service requests for new functionality or enhancements including requirement gathering, stakeholder management, and ensuring alignment with business goals

Defining project scope, objectives and project deliverables for BPC projects

Developing detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports for BPC projects

Ensure training materials and user skills are current and coordinate necessary user training
-
Conducting project meetings and providing project tracking and analysis

Designing and implementing financial consolidation processes including data staging for the consolidation system, data validation, currency translation, inter-company elimination, inventory profit elimination and consolidation of investment

Optimizing financial close processes in BPC
-
Recommending improvements and solutions which would improve business efficiency, quality and/or processes while maximizing BPC functionality

Identifying, prioritizing, and resolving BPC problem tickets on a daily basis

Coordinating responses to and resolving BPC incidents and performance issues

Collaborating with IT and other business units to integrate BPC solutions with other financial systems

Reviewing, approving and testing software updates
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s Degree in the field of accounting, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field and/or 10 years equivalent work experience required.

CPA or CA is preferred.

Possess 5+ years of SAP BPC application configuration experience required.

Possess 8+ years of SAP Application development experience.
-
Possess 5+ years of BPC and Consolidation experience.
-
Hands-on experience with SAP BPC 10/10.1 NW version and BPC EPM reporting tool is required

Strong knowledge of accounting concepts, Consolidation function, Forecasting and Budgeting process.

Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment with strong interpersonal and communication skills
-
Experience managing a team of employees, contractors and vendors.

Experience leading multiple major projects with costs greater than $500K and up to $3 MIL
-
SAP functional expertise in SAP BPC administration activities - BPC Modeling, Business Rules, Script Logics, BPC Security, Controls and BPF configuration.

SAP functional expertise in SAP BPC EPM tool - Transformation files, Conversion files, Data Manager Packages, EPM functions , Creating Reports and Input templates

SAP functional competencies in SAP FICO - GL, AA, PS, AR and AP modules.

Experience with SAP Group Reporting is preferred.

Additional skills in SAP general ledger (including new GL) and month end close activities

Additional skills in SAP Simple Finance & S/4

Possess basic knowledge of SAP development tools, interfaces methods and protocols

Understanding of SAP configuration methods, tools and techniques. Knowledge of Project Management Methodologies-ASAP and Agile methodology.

Ability to use business process analysis methods, flowcharting and documenting techniques

WORK ENVIRONMENT
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate as normally based in an office. Some of the work may be required in the operating units which can require usage of required PPE including safety glasses, hearing protection, etc. May also result in exposure to outside elements and may require usage of stairs and elevators. Travel including air travel or auto travel may occasionally be required.
