Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work with the operations team to ensure a high level of productivity and quality.
- Ensures that productivity and quality standards and measures are met for customer products.
- Communicates information effectively to appropriate departments and individuals.
- Ensures that inspection work assignments are carried out in an organized and efficient manner.
- Assists and guides operation personnel regarding issues that arise from Quality Assurance concerns.
- Works with manufacturing team to resolve issues relating to NCR’s, and rework solutions.
- Records inspection and test data and information on router and inspection sheet, receiving or final inspection log as necessary and maintains final Certification package files such that traceability per Quality manual is maintained.
- Interprets engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or formulas and confers with team when a discrepancy or question arises.
- Working knowledge of all types of inspection equipment including but not limited to: Micrometers, Calipers, Surface Plate, Height Gages, Sine Plate, Concentricity Gages, Thread Gages, Single Element thread gages, depth micrometers, CMM. Pie Tape, Comparator, hardness tester and many other tools.
- Knowledge of special process inspection relating to Weld, Paint Chem-Film etc…
- Troubleshoot problems and solve discrepancies.
- Recommends and ensures modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability.
Qualifications:
- Between 3 to 7 years in Quality in the aerospace industry is desired.
- Working knowledge of all types of inspection equipment including but not limited to: Micrometers, Calipers, Surface Plate, Height Gages, Sine Plate, Concentricity Gages, Thread Gages, Single Element thread gages, depth micrometers, CMM. Pie Tape, Comparator, hardness tester and many other tools.
- Physical Demands: Stand, walks, push, pulls, reach overhead, and bend to the floor. Exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or exert up to 10 pounds of force frequently.
- Constant use of handheld inspection equipment including but not limited to: Micrometers, Calipers, Height Gages, Concentricity Gages, Thread Gages, Single Element thread gages, Pin gages, depth micrometers, CMM. Pie Tape, Comparator, hardness tester
- Visual Acuity: Able to pass Jaeger Test, near acuity and accommodation are required for reading machine dial gages, blueprints, computers and precision measuring instruments used in the inspection of parts.
- Able to see color (able to pass one of the following tests: Pseudochromatic plates, Dvorine, Ishihara, Richmond, Farnsworth lantern, Keystone Orthoscope, Titmus vision tester, Titmus II Vision Tester, Titmus 2 Vision Tester.)
