Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking an Administrative Coordinator for NJMS- General Internal Medicine. The Administrative Coordinator oversees the day-to-day operations of the Division of General Internal Medicine (GIM). GIM is comprised of Primary Care, Med-Peds, Geriatrics, Preventive Medicine, Occupational Medicine. The Administrative Coordinator will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Division Director, Administrator, and faculty; will act as point of reference for faculty recruitment, which includes collecting applications, scheduling interviews, preparing itineraries, and maintain confidential files.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
- Maintains Division Director’s calendar – Exercises considerable discretion and independent judgement in handling day-to-day matters on behalf of the Chair.
- Provides administrative support to the Division Director, Program Administrator, and Faculty.
- Acts as point of reference for faculty recruitment, which includes collecting applications, scheduling interviews, preparing itineraries, and maintain confidential files.
- Responsible for personnel matters for the department/division; maintains time and attendance records, ensures timely completion of forms for Human Resources, Payroll, etc.
- Acts as principal liaison with various administrative departments and units of the University.
- Responsible for timely follow-up of problems and questions and maintains a log and documentation of same.
